Hello!
I have lived in Garden City for the last eleven and a half years (ever since I graduated from college), and I am proud to call this city my home. The people and community of Garden make it a wonderful place to live. I am lucky to be raising my four kids here, where people know each other and help each other out. Here, where strangers pulled my car out of the mud and where the YMCA gives out free food to families all summer long, where the big pool is only a few bucks to enjoy and the zoo is free. Here, where my husband works as a police officer, where this community stands behind our officers, supporting and encouraging them as they seek to serve us.

I too work in public service - I am employed by USD 457. Previously, I taught English at the High School here in Garden City, and currently I am the librarian at Abe Hubert Elementary. I have THE best job in the world. I love it so much; working with our young people and their families brings my life joy and fulfillment.

Both my students and my own children are a big part of why I joined this race. I try to teach them to be brave and honest, to live with integrity and be true to their word, so I figured I should lead by example. When I realized there was no Democratice option for the State House of Representatives, I decided it was up to me to do something about it.

I enjoy learning and reading and the outdoors. I am a writer and a teacher and a life-long student. I am a friend and a wife, and a mother. And if you choose, I will be your representative. In Topeka, I will stand up for our city and the beautiful, diverse, hard-working people who live here.
